The 2023 iteration of the wagon has not yet been subjected to proper crash-testing, but every crash review of the Audi A6 allroad before this model year has been excellent. However, last year's model received a perfect overall five-star rating from the NHTSA. Meanwhile, the IIHS scored it as Good in every category and awarded the car a 2022 Top Safety Pick+ award. That's enough to confirm that safety shouldn't be a concern for Audi A6 allroad drivers.
NHTSA safety ratings are not available at this time.
Aside from the standard ABS and stability and traction control, the A6 allroad is outfitted with multiple airbags, including dual front, front knee, and rear side. More advanced safety features include forward collision warning with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking, parking sensors, lane departure warning, and a surround-view camera. The Prestige expands upon this with rear cross-traffic alert and emergency braking, active lane assist, blind-spot monitoring, a head-up display, and adaptive cruise control. on this top trim, it's possible to add night vision as an optional extra.

While J.D. Power has not given the Audi A6 allroad an official reliability rating, the vehicle's good track record speaks for itself. It was only recalled a single time in 2022 for a possible engine control unit short circuit. The six recalls in 2021 may cause some concern but the fact that they never resurfaced shows that Audi has worked hard to improve things. In 2021, recalls included a rear axle that may be misaligned, airbag and seatbelt issues, and a faulty side impact crash sensor in the front doors.
The standard warranty plan for the Audi A6 allroad includes four years/50,000 miles of basic and powertrain coverage.
With a five-star rating from the NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick+ award from the IIHS, there is no doubt that the A6 allroad is a very safe vehicle.
Audi equips the A6 allroad with ten airbags: dual front, dual front side, dual front knee, rear side, and side curtain.
