2023 e-tron S Sportback Interior

The interior of the Audi e-tron S Sportback is extremely well-appointed, with high-quality materials, a good smattering of luxury comfort features, and loads of style. There are many standard driver-assistance features, all of which are easily accessible thanks to the ergonomic layout of the dashboard. The front seats are already comfortable, and they can be upgraded to individual contour seats that really let you enjoy everything the sporty SUV is capable of delivering. LED ambient lighting and illuminated sill plates give the cabin a high-tech vibe, while the available power soft-closing doors are a nice premium touch that makes entering and exiting the vehicle feel even better.

Seating and Interior Space

There is plenty of space inside the cabin of the S Sportback with a total of five seating appointments. However, it is worth noting that headroom is somewhat compromised by the stylish sloping roofline for those in the back seat. It leaves occupants in front with 38.1 inches of headroom and those in the back with 37.9 inches. Legroom is a little more generous, with 40.8 inches and 39.1 inches, respectively. The front seats are power-adjustable, and both rows come with heated seats as standard. For $2,000, the front seats can be replaced with individual contour seats in Valcona/Milano leather, with memory settings, and ventilation and massage function included.

Interior Colors and Materials

Only the highest-quality materials are used in the design of Audi cabins, and the e-tron S Sportback definitely displays this with its Valcona leather. It is available in Black-Rock Gray, Red-Agate Fray, and Rotor Gray-Anthracite. Regardless of color scheme, the headliner is black cloth. The seating can be upgraded to a combination of Valcona and Milano leather in a Black-Rock Gray scheme as part of the Individual Contour Seat Package. Overall build quality is excellent, with nary a rattle to be heard even when galloping down the highway at full speed.

2023 e-tron S Sportback Trunk and Cargo Space

The SUV body style has become the norm on American roads thanks to its high levels of practicality, and even with some sacrifices made in the name of style, the trunk of the e-tron S Sportback supplies 27.2 cubic feet of cargo space. This can be expanded to a more impressive 54.5 cubic feet by folding down the rear seats. Compared to other luxury SUVs, these figures are good, but they fall short of what more mainstream models provide.

There are quite a few places around the cabin to store smaller items, including a standard glove compartment and a large bin beside the drive mode selector. Two cupholders are located in the front, with another two available in the rear fold-down armrest. Each door has a sizable pocket to store water bottles, among other items.

2023 e-tron S Sportback Infotainment and Features

Features

The list of standard features in the e-tron S Sportback is a long one, largely due to the fact that it starts out with Premium Plus trim, which is generally a mid-tier trim in other models. The front seats are heated and power-adjustable. Heating is also included in the power-adjustable steering wheel and the rear seats. Quad-zone automatic climate control keeps the cabin temperature regulated, while keyless entry and ignition, and adaptive cruise control add some convenience. The Audi virtual cockpit comprises a 12.3-inch digital display that conveys vital vehicle information and helps the driver to interact with the extensive list of driver-assistance features. These include forward collision avoidance, blind-spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning, lane-keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert with emergency braking, parking sensors, and a surround-view camera. The Prestige trim uses a head-up display to improve the effectiveness of the cockpit.

Infotainment

Audi makes use of a 10.1-inch touchscreen with MMI software to operate the infotainment. It is paired with a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system. Standard features include Apple CarPlay and Android, Bluetooth, SiriusXM, and HD Radio. Built-in navigation is also included, though its usefulness is debatable. The entire system is pretty easy to interact with, though users may find they need to press the screen rather than just touch it, to engage the menu and features.
