The exterior of the Audi RS5 Coupe clearly states this car's intentions. Those aggressive intake vents and wide grille pair beautifully with Matrix-design LED headlights with laser light, while a taut hood and bulbous arches add to the muscular look. 19-inch wheels sit in those arches, with 20s available. At the rear, you get a subtle trunk spoiler and a large rear diffuser with an oval exhaust pipe on either end. With no soft-top variant available, this is the only RS5 you can get with two doors.
There are many ways to upgrade the exterior design, and the Competition Package makes the RS5 look particularly aggressive. This package adds 20-inch five-Y-spoke design wheels which are milled-cut and have a bi-color Phantom Black finish, along with matte black tailpipes and matte carbon for the front splitter, rear diffuser, and exterior mirror housings. High-gloss-black exterior trim completes the look.
The Audi RS5 measures 73.5 inches in width excluding mirrors, while height is rated at 54 inches. It has a length of 185.9 inches with a wheelbase of 108.9 inches. In terms of curb weight, the RS5 tips the scales at 3,990 pounds. By contrast, the slightly longer and more spacious RS5 Sportback weighs 4,057 lbs.
With the Competition Package, the RS5 has less sound insulation material and lighter wheels. In total, it sheds around 35 pounds of weight relative to the standard model. With this package, the RS5 also sits up to 20 mm lower than the regular model.

Thankfully, the Audi RS5 is one of the few cars out there offered as standard in colors that are not black or white. However, both Turbo Blue and Sonoma Green have been deleted this year. Ascari Blue Metallic is new at $595, and you'll pay the same premium for other metallics like Glacier White, Mythos Black, Navarra Blue, and Tango Red. Rounding out the palette are Daytona Grey pearl effect for $595 and Sebring Black crystal effect for $1,095.
Red brake calipers are available via the Dynamic or Competition packages, and you can add a black roof for $300. There is also a Black Optic Package which darkens the exterior trim.
