2023 S5 Coupe Safety
The NHTSA hasn't given the 2023 S5 coupe a review in terms of safety, nor has the IIHS. But the IIHS has tested the 2023 A5 on which the S5 is based, awarding it top scores of 'Good' for all six crashworthiness tests, and a Top Safety Pick+ designation for 2022. Based on this, the S5 should be an extremely safe vehicle.

2023 S5 Coupe Reliability
No recalls had affected 2023 Audi S5 models at the time of writing, but 2022 versions were afflicted by two separate recalls for the rearview camera image display. 2021 models were even worse, with five recalls, including a rear axle that may be misaligned, a seat belt locking retractor malfunction, rear axle lock nuts that could break, and a rear light wiring harness missing scuff protection. The rearview camera display issue that affected 2022 models also pertains to the 2021 derivatives.
Audi makes a four-year or 50,000-mile basic warranty standard for the S5 along with a drivetrain warranty for the same time period and mileage limit. A corrosion warranty is valid for 12 years.
