If the standard Q5 isn’t quite spicy enough, the SQ5 should fit the bill with its much more powerful 3.0-liter V6 turbocharged engine. With 349 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque, there’s enough grunt to hit 60 mph in only 5.1 seconds. All that power is channeled through an eight-speed automatic transmission and Audi’s legendary quattro all-wheel-drive system.
The base Premium comes with 20-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and taillights, aluminum roof rails, a power tailgate, unique front/rear S-specific fascias, and a roof spoiler. Inside, the MMI Radio plus system comprises a seven-inch color screen and a ten-speaker audio system, along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Power-adjustable and heated front seats, leather/Alcantara upholstery, tri-zone climate control, and six airbags are all standard.
At mid-range level, the Premium Plus adds Audi’s virtual cockpit with navigation and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Audi side assist and Audi pre sense rear also add to the base model’s safety spec, while wireless charging, front and rear parking sensors, and a panoramic sunroof round out this trim’s highlights.
The top-of-the-range Prestige adds a head-up display, a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, a power tilt/telescoping steering column, and adaptive cruise control to the Premium Plus’s feature count.
