Not long after the new Continental GT Speed broke cover, Bentley has unveiled its convertible sibling. Described as the “most powerful, driver-focused” Continental GT Convertible yet, the new high-performance Continental GT Convertible Speed is powered by an uprated version of Bentley’s 6.0-liter W12 engine that generates 650 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque, up from 626 hp in the regular Continental GT Convertible. With this setup, 0-60 mph takes 3.6 seconds, which is 0.1 seconds faster than the regular Continental GT Convertible. The roof can also be lowered in 19 seconds at speeds of up to 30 mph.
Thanks to numerous chassis improvements, the Continental GT Convertible Speed offers sharper handling, with an updated all-wheel steering system and a new electronic rear differential improving the car's agility and stability. Optional carbon-ceramic brakes also provide improved stopping power. Unique visual enhancements include new 22 inch forged wheels and a dark tint grille. Inside, the interior features leather and Alcantara and trim, with a choice of 15 main and 11 secondary colors, as well as special Speed badging. Pricing hasn’t been confirmed yet, but expect the new Continental GT Speed Convertible to cost over $274,900.
