The BMW 8 Series lineup comprises three trim levels; the 840i, 840i xDrive, and the M850i xDrive. The first two trims are powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine and the top-level M850i receives a 4.4-liter V8. Both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The 840i is the only model available with RWD with the remaining two paired exclusively with AWD.
All models come standard with keyless entry, and push-button start, heated 14-way power-adjustable front seats with four-way lumbar support, automatic climate control, a heated tilt and telescopic steering wheel, ambient lighting, and wireless charging. Infotainment features across all models are inclusive of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch infotainment screen that caters for Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth streaming, HD Radio, SiriusXM functionality, a navigation system, and a premium 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Driver assists include cruise control, lane departure warning, frontal collision warning, city collision mitigation, and daytime pedestrian monitoring.
