There are three BMW i7 trims with different powertrain specs: eDrive50, xDrive60, and M70. The rear-wheel-drive eDrive50 produces 449 hp and 549 lb-ft of torque, while the xDrive60 adds a second electric motor and all-wheel drive to make 536 hp and 549 lb-ft. The i70 M70 is the quickest of all configurations, with its outputs of 650 hp and 749 lb-ft. Like the other configurations, the M70 has a single-speed transmission but will hit 60 mph in only 3.5 seconds.
Even the base model has generous specifications with 19-inch wheels, power-folding side mirrors, a powered tailgate, and a LED light carpet all being standard. The outrageously high-tech cabin has four-zone climate control, a power rear sunshade, soft-close doors, a 14.9-inch touchscreen interface, a powerful Bowers & Wilkins sound system, and seat heating for both rows. One of the most jaw-dropping options is the BMW Theater Screen for the rear-seat passengers, perhaps the best cinematic experience in any new car. There is also a Rear Executive Lounge Seating Package on the top two trim levels that makes the i7 one of the most relaxing cars to be chauffeured in.
