The M3 Competition looks different on the outside by dint of its larger alloy wheels - 19 inches in front and 20 inches at the rear - and the gloss-black finish of its rear decklid spoiler, side mirrors, and exhaust tips. Inside, it has BMW Motorsport tri-color pinstriped seatbelts and paddle shifters for the automatic transmission. Under the skin, it has a more powerful 503-hp version of the base car's engine, and it's coupled exclusively to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Competition is 50 pounds heavier than the manual M3 but thanks to the eight-speed automatic, it improves upon the manual's 0-60 time by 0.3 seconds.
