The only difference between the normal Competition and the Competition xDrive is the addition of an AWD system, which comes with a 99-pound weight penalty and a little additional drivetrain drag that affects economy, reducing the EPA's city/highway/combined estimates from the RWD car's 16/23/19 mpg to 16/22/18 mpg. Most of the added weight is over the front axle, pushing the car's front-to-rear weight distribution a bit forward. The superior off-the-line traction of the AWD system cuts the 0-60 time to 3.4 seconds though, despite the added weight.
