The base M4 Coupe is the purist's choice with its six-speed manual transmission. It comes with smaller 18-/19-inch staggered alloys than the Competition models but look otherwise much the same on the outside. Standard fare includes automatic LED headlights, a carbon-fiber roof and trunk lid, keyless start, multi-zone climate control, leather upholstery, heated and 14-way powered sports front seats, and a garage-door opener. The M4 still uses the old iDrive 7 infotainment system and its 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster is supplemented by a 10.25-inch touchscreen incorporating Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, SiriusXM, Bluetooth, and USB-C ports. Some notable driver assists are parking sensors front and rear, an auto-dimming interior and driver's mirror, automatic high beams, rain-sensing wipers, adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning with auto braking, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-departure warning.
