The X3 xDrive30e is BMW’s first foray into the world of hybrid crossovers. Using lessons learned on other hybrid models like the innovative i8, the X3 hybrid is a refined package with excellent drivability, fuel economy, comfort, and handling. Thanks to clever packaging, the cargo area is hardly compromised by the addition of a battery pack, but a noticeable increase in weight is added. That said, the X3 carries the additional heft well and maintains great body composure and admirable performance. As standard, the vehicle rides on 18-inch wheels and comes with features like a launch control system, voice control for the infotainment system, and tri-zone climate control. That infotainment system is comprised of a 10.25-inch touchscreen display that can be controlled via the rotary iDrive controller or the additional steering controls. Options include adaptive cruise control, heated seats, gesture control, and adaptive dampers.
