Just one trim is on offer for 2021’s X3 M. The engine is a 3.0-liter straight-six with a pair of turbos that produces 473 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque. All of this is managed by an eight-speed automatic transmission and M xDrive AWD. Acceleration from 0 to 60 mph is claimed to take just 4.1 seconds, with top speed arriving at 155 mph. If you spec the Competition package, you get a total of 503 hp and a lower sprint time, but you have to spec the M Driver’s Package with its better tires to unlock the X3 M’s true top speed potential of 174 mph. Standard features are plentiful and include leather upholstery, adaptive suspension, power heated front seats, a 12.3-inch Live Cockpit Professional display ahead of the driver, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display connected to a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system.
