Three models comprise the BMW X6 range: sDrive35i, xDrive35i, and xDrive50i. Standard on the 35i models is a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine that produces 300 hp and 300 lb-ft; sDrive denotes rear-wheel-drive, while xDrive indicates an all-wheel-drivetrain. A powerful 4.4-liter turbocharged V8 sits under the hood of the 50i, and supplies 445 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque. Mated to both engines is an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The base-level sDrive35i and xDrive35i are presented with identical equipment apart from their respective drivetrains. Standard fare includes 19-inch alloy wheels, xenon headlights, a rearview camera, a power liftgate, dual-zone climate control, 14-way power-adjustable heated front seats, a moonroof, a 10.2-inch iDrive touchscreen display, a nine-speaker sound system, and front and rear parking sensors. Apart from the twin-turbo V8 engine, the 50i also receives keyless entry and ignition, quad-zone climate control, blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, multi-contour front seats, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and a surround-view camera.
