The all-new BMW X6 is the third-generation of BMW’s Sports Activity Coupe. Put more simply, it’s an X5 with more stylish looks, less space, and a higher price. The range consists of the sDrive40i, the xDrive40i, and the M50i. The 40i twins are powered by the latest version of BMW’s 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six developing 335 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque. An eight-speed automatic is common to all models, and all-wheel-drive is standard on all but the sDrive40i, which sends power to the rear wheels. The M50i is the performer of the range with its turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 generating 523 hp and 553 lb-ft to hit 60 mph in a mere 4.1 seconds.
All models get Vernasca leather upholstery as standard, along with a panoramic moonroof, 20-inch alloy wheels, BMW’s Live Cockpit Professional with navigation, a rearview camera, active blind-spot detection, heated front seats, keyless entry, ambient lighting, and adaptive LED headlights. The 40i variants have dual-zone automatic climate control and 16-way power front seats, while the M50i has four-zone climate control and 20-way power multi-contour seats in front. The M50i also gets an aerodynamic kit, a Harmon Kardon surround sound system, wireless charging, an M sport exhaust system, M sport brakes, and an M sport differential.
