Additional Packages

The xDrive40i has access to the $2,550 Premium package that includes remote engine start, a head-up display, gesture control, a ten-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, and upgraded adaptive LED headlights. Alternatively, you can opt for the $3,450 Executive package that includes all of these features but also adds automatic soft-close doors, diamond-cut glass controls for the iDrive controller, start/stop button, and gear selector, manual rear-window sunshades, and a panoramic Sky Lounge LED roof.

The M Sport Professional package gives you M Sport brakes with a choice of red or blue brake calipers and includes darkened M Shadowline headlights with extended Shadowline exterior trim, an illuminated kidney grille, and an M Sport exhaust; it costs $1,650 on the xDrive40i and $650 on the M60i. The Climate Comfort package adds ventilation to the front seats, heating to the front armrests, steering wheel, and rear seats, and four-zone climate control to the xDrive40i for $1,350. It costs $1,000 on the M60i. Some of the M60i features, like the Multi-contour front seats ($750), remote engine start ($300), and upgraded adaptive LED headlights ($950) can be added separately to the xDrive40i.

There is a $2,100 Driving Assistance Professional package that adds cameras and radar to the X6 that allow for partly automated driver assists to be added, such as steering and lane-keep assist, lane-change assist, an evasion aid, pedestrian detection, emergency-stop assist, and a hands-free highway-driving assistant. The $800 Parking Assistance package equips the car with a surround-view camera, parking sensors that incorporate automatic low-speed braking, fully automated parking, and a dashcam. Many separate standalone options include items such as a trailer hitch ($650), an illuminated kidney grille ($500), and massaging front seats ($1,000).

Only the M60i has access to the $2,200 Dynamic Handling package that adds upgraded and lowered Adaptive M Suspension Professional with active roll stabilization. This trim also has access to two-axle air suspension for $1,000.
