2020 Buick Envision Overview

Buick’s crossover lineup is growing quickly, especially with the addition of a new Encore GX. The old-timer Envision will roll into 2020 with a pair of new paint colors but not many other changes. The model got a midcycle refresh for 2019, so the updates are still fresh. They included new headlights and a new front grille, the new GM nine-speed automatic transmission, new colors, and new technology.

The Envision will ship with a standard hands-free liftgate, tri-zone climate controls, rear cross-traffic alerts, lane change alerts with blind-spot monitors, a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, and heated front seats.

Upgrades are numerous, some of which are locked into higher trim levels. They include automatic parking assist, following distance indicator, forward automatic braking, forward collision alerts, and front/rear parking alerts.

The Envision is not lacking competition. The Acura RDX, BMW X3, Hyundai Santa Fe, Jaguar F-Pace, and many others all have their sights set on the Buick’s territory. Pricing should start at around $31,995. We don’t have exact release details yet but expect to see the new Envision in late 2019.
