2024 Lyriq Interior

The Cadillacs of today are nothing like they were ten years ago, and the Lyriq is following in the steps of the acclaimed Escalade by presenting buyers with an absolutely gorgeous interior comprising high-quality materials. Build quality is also very good, giving the SUV that truly premium feel. Of course, we all expect electric cars to be laden with technology, and the first thing you'll notice is the enormous 33-inch curved LED display covering most of the dashboard. It offers excellent resolution, but accessing the myriad functions that come installed as standard can be daunting at first. Luckily, there are voice controls to make life easier. For that extra bit of flair, the ambient cabin lighting looks absolutely stunning without being over the top.

Seating and Interior Space

As with the majority of midsize SUVs, the Caddy Lyriq has seats for up to five inside the cabin. And, as a luxury vehicle, the seats are supremely comfortable and highly adjustable. The interior space is well divided, giving passengers in the front seats 38.6 inches of headroom and 44.3 inches of legroom. Meanwhile, those in the second row get a healthy 39.6 inches of legroom and 37.7 inches of headroom. There is a decent step-in height that makes getting in and out of the vehicle easier, and the highly adjustable front seats with multiple profiles in the seat memory allow different users to tap in or out quickly.

Interior Colors and Materials

To ensure comfortable seating over long drives, upscale materials are used to complement the high build quality. To maintain the sustainable and sophisticated personality of the Lyriq, Inteluxe upholstery is used, with mini-perforated inserts added at higher trim levels. Base models are only available in Noir (black). However, if you care more about looks and style than the environment, you can upgrade to full leather with perforated inserts in the Luxury and Sport 3 sub-trims. The Inteluxe is available in Noir or Sky Cool Gray, both with Santorini Blue accents. The leather material allows for different interior colors in the Cadillac Lyriq, including Oxford Stone with Garnet accents or Juniper with Sky Cool Gray accents.

2024 Lyriq Trunk and Cargo Space

An SUV won't last long in the current market without a decent amount of cargo space, and even an EV like the Cadillac Lyriq is not immune to this trend. Luckily, even with all the seats in place, there is a decent amount of trunk volume - 28 cubic feet, to be exact. This isn't class-leading, but it is more than enough room to accommodate your groceries, kids' school bags, and more. But if you do need to stow a bit more than the usual goods, you can fold down the rear seats to create a 60.8 cubic-foot cargo space.

As for small-item storage, the Lyriq has plenty of smart solutions around the cabin. These include four door pockets, a standard glove compartment, a front armrest cubby, and four cupholders - two in the front and two more in the rear fold-down armrest.

2024 Lyriq Infotainment and Features

Features

Electric vehicles generally come outfitted with all the latest tech, with even entry-level trims boasting highly desirable features. In the case of the Lyriq, this includes eight-way power front seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functionality, as well as memory settings. You also get dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, remote keyless entry with push-button start, and a whole bunch of safety features. As standard, this comprises forward collision avoidance with enhanced automatic braking and cyclist/pedestrian detection, along with front and rear park assist, an HD rearview camera, blind-spot steering assist, lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and reverse automatic braking.

There is also a Safety Alert seat and a teen driver system. If this already sounds like a lot, things only get more complex in the Luxury and Sport trims. These start with adaptive cruise control, an HD surround-view camera, rear pedestrian alert, side cyclist alert, intersection automatic emergency braking, and enhanced automatic parking assist. In terms of additional comforts, you get a heated steering wheel. The Luxury/Sport 2 adds active noise cancellation and Super Cruiser driver assistance, while the '3' sub-trims round out the offering with heated second-row seats, tri-zone climate control, an inclination sensor, and an interior motion sensor.

Infotainment

Just like its gas-powered big brother, the Lyriq has an absolutely bonkers infotainment setup that starts with an enormous 33-inch LED display. This grants access to a wide array of features, starting with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You also get SiriusXM, Wi-Fi capabilities, and 5G communication. The standard audio system comprises seven speakers. Upgrading the Luxury or Sport 2 trims does not add any additional features, but you do get a pristine 19-speaker AKG Studio sound system. A wireless phone charger is included as standard, but there are three USB-C ports in the front and two additional ports in the rear for wired phone charging.
