Unfortunately, there are no safety ratings for the Cadillac Lyriq from either the IIHS or the NHTSA. It uses a relatively new platform, shared with the GMC Hummer EV, but since it is modular, it would be impossible to draw parallels. On the plus side, the extremely generous helping of standard safety technology should put any nervous mind at peace.
NHTSA safety ratings are not available at this time.
Even in its entry-level configuration, the Lyriq has a very long list of safety features. This starts with forward collision avoidance with pedestrian and cyclist detection, enhanced automatic emergency braking, blind-spot assist, rear cross-traffic alert, reverse automatic braking, lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, front and rear parking assist, an HD rearview camera, a safety alert seat, and a teen driver system. This can be enhanced via package upgrade on the base model to include intersection automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, rear pedestrian alert, enhanced automatic parking assist, HD surround vision, and side bicyclist alert.
Moving up through the Luxury and Sport 1, 2, and 3 sub-trims will see top-end models equipped with an inclination sensor and interior movement sensor. Each model gets the usual, like electronic stability and traction control, as well as eight airbags: dual front, front knees, front side, and side curtain.

While there has been so official reliability survey of the Cadillac Lyriq, a single recall has already been issued. This was for a blank instrument panel display - not exactly a critical issue. You do get a standard EV warranty, though, which includes four years/50,000 miles of bumper-to-bumper coverage, and eight years/100,000 miles of powertrain coverage and roadside assistance.
There is no official safety rating for the electric SUV, but it comes with so many safety features as standard that you can expect a high level of safety.
There are eight airbags located throughout the cabin, covering dual front, front knee, front side, and side curtain positions.
