The LT1 Convertible is just an LT1 Coupe with the roof lopped off and replaced with a power-folding soft top that can be raised or lowered at low speeds. This being a more powerful V8 model, it’s best suited to the Coupe body if you’re going to track it, but makes for a magnificent everyday ragtop with an intoxicating soundtrack if you’re not. It’s 246 pounds heavier than the LT1 Coupe and suffers the same trunk-volume penalty. However, the additional weight is not enough to affect the EPA’s official mpg estimates.
