The ZR2 looks a lot like the Trail Boss on the outside with the same wheel-arch moldings but an even wider stance, a bespoke color-coded front bumper, a performance hood, red recovery hooks, skid plates, off-road rocker protectors, 17-inch Graphite/Oxide Gold alloys with 33-inch all-terrain tires, DSSV Multimatic dampers with another inch of ride-height increase over the Trail Boss, the Turbo High-Output engine with 310 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque, and six drive modes. This includes Baja for high-speed desert running. It gets driver-selectable full-locking front and rear differentials, a modified frame with the rear shock absorbers mounted outside the frame rails for better clearance, the Trailering package, an EZ-Lift tailgate with integrated StowFlex storage, and a spray-on bedliner. It’s the only trim to get a full 11-inch digital gauge cluster, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a steering column that can also telescope, remote start, and an eight-way power driver’s seat.
