2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV Overview

Chevrolet's electric assault continues with the launch of the first electric Chevrolet Equinox. Due in the fall of 2023 as a 2024 model, the Equinox EV will be a compact two-row electric crossover competitor to the Tesla Model Y, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Kia EV6. Built on the scalable Ultium Platform from GM, the Equinox EV will be available in single and dual-motor configurations with up to 580 horsepower possible in theory. Both fleet and retail versions will be available, and Chevrolet has already confirmed LT and RS trim availability, catering to those who are looking for a sportier crossover EV. The Equinox EV will mark the beginning of the era of truly affordable EVs, with a starting price of around $30,000, making it cheaper than Chevrolet's most affordable current EV, the Bolt, despite its larger size and higher status.

The first images reveal a new design that borrows strongly from Cadillac EV concepts, and features highlights like a blacked-out front end and roof in RS trim, while all versions will have split headlights and a full-width LED strip on the nose.
