The LS is perfect for those seeking a large, comfortable sedan on a budget. Powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-pot mated to a CVT transmission, it’s quite a frugal car. You get the necessary creature comforts but little more. The wireless connection for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is a bonus, but it is quickly becoming the new norm. Our primary concern is the lack of safety features, but this can be addressed via available packages. The most notable of these is the Driver Confidence Package 1 and 2, now bundled together as one package with a retail price of $1,095. This adds most of the advanced driver assistance features we expect in a car these days such as lane-change alert and forward-collision warning.
