At the top of the long list of Traverse models is the High Country, pushing against the boundary of affordable crossovers and near-luxury models. The only outward displays of this exclusivity are the chrome-finish grille and standard dual-panel power sunroof. Inside the cabin, the High Country comes upholstered in perforated leather in a unique palette and the third-row seats get power-folding to make it easier to expand the cargo hold. Below the surface, the top model gets adaptive cruise control, enhanced emergency braking, and an available all-wheel drivetrain with an auto-locking rear differential, which improves handling in poor weather conditions.
