The Rear Camera and Park Assist Package in Volt™ makes parking easier. The system includes a rearview camera system and front and rear parking assist. The rearview camera is mounted on the underside of the license plate appliqué and works in conjunction with the front and rear park assist feature to aid in parallel parking. Images are viewed in the center console display. The front and rear park assist system uses 4 sensors located on the front and rear bumper fascias that emit ultrasonic waves when the car is driven forward or in reverse at low speeds. The system picks up the echo of the signals when they bounce off an object. Audible warning beeps inform the driver of front and rear object proximity.
