There are two trims making up the 2019 Chevrolet Volt lineup; the base Volt LT, and the top-of-the-line Volt Premier. The only mechanical difference between the trims lies in the onboard charging module, where the LT is equipped with the menial 3.6 kWh module, the Premier utilizes a new, more efficient 7.3 kWh module. Both trims are outfitted with 17-inch alloy wheels differing in design and color, all-LED exterior lighting, and keyless entry and ignition. From the base level, standard features include single-zone automatic climate control, ambient interior lighting, cruise control, teen driver controls, and 60/40 split-folding rear seats. An eight-inch infotainment touchscreen display with Chevrolet Infotainment 3 capability is also shared, along with a media hub comprising an auxiliary input, two USB ports, and two 12-volt power outlets. Ten standard airbags and an HD rearview camera cover the standard safety precautions, with the Premier also inclusively fitted with automatic parking assist. The Premier builds onto the LT’s offering with more comfort, convenience, and functionality overall, offering greater levels of safety, albeit through optional extras.
