In our opinion, a muscle car deserves V8 power, and this is the first model in the lineup to offer this as standard. Unfortunately, the 5.7-liter V8 feels old and is easily outpaced by modern turbocharged four-pot engines. A six-speed manual is standard, but we recommend the eight-speed automatic. You do get a fantastic V8 burble, which is something small-capacity turbocharged engines will never be able to match. The R/T is differentiated on the outside by its dual chromed exhaust tips, differently styled 20-inch alloys, and its Hemi and R/T badging.
