The Ferrari 488 GTB is the successor to the 458 Italia. Although more of a heavy facelift than an all-new model in many respects, the GTB’s key difference is its engine: the 3.9-liter V8 features twin-turbocharging and takes peak outputs up to a jaw-dropping 661 horsepower and 561 lb-ft of torque. Coupled with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, rear-wheel-drive, and a clever adaptive suspension with Ferrari’s Slide Slip Control system, it’s a hugely capable driver’s car.
The exterior design is an evolution of the stunning 458 Italia, but the GTB gets a host of aerodynamic tweaks for even better performance. Standard features include Ferrari’s distinctive side scoops, 20-inch alloy wheels, LED lighting, and dual tailpipes. The racy interior is geared towards fast driving with a centrally-mounted tachometer flanked by dual screens, a steering wheel with a switch for the various driving modes, and a center console angled towards the driver. Standard features include leather and Alcantara trim, climate control, a six-speaker sound system, four airbags, power windows and side mirrors, a navigation system, Bluetooth connectivity and available Apple CarPlay. A vast selection of exterior and interior colors, seat designs, and carbon-fiber trim options are available.
