It comes solely in front-wheel-drive with a 1.4-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces 160 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque when rigged with its default five-speed manual transmission, and 157 hp and 183 lb-ft with the alternative $995 six-speed automatic transmission.
At its base point, the 500C Abarth holds a starting MSRP of $21,990. It can be customized with various packages and upgrades, including 17-inch Hyper Black or Forged Bronze wheels for $1,395, and a selection of body side stripes and decals can be optioned for $295. It has access to an $895 Popular Equipment Package, which includes heated front seats, automatic climate control and a one-year subscription to satellite radio, and the $385 Scorpion Package, which adds more exclusive Abarth styling cues. The Beats Audio Package upgrades the standard sound system to high definition for $695.
