2020 Ford F-450 Super Duty Overview

The brand-new 2020 F-450 SuperDuty pickup is Ford’s most capable and hardest-core work truck. The F-450 will receive minor visual updates and new powertrains for the new model year, along with an available Tremor off-road package.

The 2020 F-450’s modest facelift includes a new high-flow grille that aids cooling, a new tailgate, and updated taillights. The standard engine is a carryover 385-horsepower 6.2-liter V8, but two new powerplants will be available for the 2020 model year: a new 7.3 liter V8 gas engine and a thoroughly updated 6.7-liter V8 diesel engine that will likely reach upwards of 1,000 lb-ft of torque to compete with the Ram’s new heavy-duty engine. A ten-speed automatic transmission is standard.

Elsewhere, the SuperDuty lineup has been given a tech overhaul to include standard FordPass Connect, which brings a 4G LTE modem and a WiFi hotspot for up to ten devices. Advanced safety tech is now standard on XLT trim and higher, and includes automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane-keeping alert, and blind-spot monitors with trailer coverage.

We don’t have pricing or release date information for the F-450 yet, but the 2019 models had a starting price of $47,375.
