At the top of the Taurus lineup sits the SHO - short for Super High Output. That refers to the powerplant beneath the hood, which although bearing the same displacement and V6 configuration as lesser models, straps on a pair of turbochargers to increase power outputs to 365 hp and 350 lb-ft. Standard all-wheel-drive makes sure the power reaches the ground, while a sport-tuned suspension system and larger brakes improve the handling dynamics of the most potent Taurus. You don’t need to look too hard to identify it visually, as the SHO rides on blacked-out 20-inch alloy wheels, features HID headlights, a rear decklid spoiler, and SHO badging to differentiate it from its stablemates. The styling cues are continued inside, where SHO badging adorns the seats and floor mats, and the steering wheel is now clad in Alcantara.
