The Ford Transit is a rear-wheel drive van which can be specified with either a 275hp 3.7-liter, 310hp turbocharged 3.5-liter or 185hp turbo diesel engine. All are fitted with a 6-speed automatic transmission and even the base engine offers decent performance and efficiency levels. A range of body lengths and heights, load ratings and rear axle ratios are available. This customizability gives the Transit broad appeal and safety systems include a rearview camera with trailer hitch assist and side-wind stabilization. Available luxury and safety options include 10-way power seats, driver alert system and navigation and business owners may be interested in the Ford Telematics system and customizable ignition keys that limit top speed and include a seatbelt reminder chime.
