It’s only a small leap from the EX to the EX-L in the Civic lineup, but there’s only one major difference between the two. L stands for leather, as the interior of the EX-L gets full leather upholstery, while minor updates include an auto-dimming rearview mirror with a HomeLink garage door opener. For just $1,200 extra over the EX, that means the EX-L is either a worthwhile upgrade, or it means you can save yourself some money by forgoing the leather upholstery. Either way, the EX-L is well specified with full smartphone integration, heated front seats, a power sunroof, and dual-zone climate control.
