We’re not huge fans of the EX-L as we don’t really see the point. It costs $25,600 ($1,200 more than the regular EX) but only adds three new features: leather upholstery on the seating surfaces, a HomeLink garage door opener, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. These upgrades make it a little heavier than the model upon which it is based, but at least it mirrors that model’s EPA-certified fuel economy figures of 32/42/36 mpg on the city/highway/combined cycles.
