The Hyundai Palisade is a large SUV, so a discreet exterior is out of the question. For the new model year, it has received a completely updated exterior that includes a divisive new grille with a cascading pattern, and the front bumper has been altered to accommodate this. The headlight designs have been changed, too, with blockier elements, and the daytime running lights moved to the outer edge. At the rear, LED taillights become available slightly sooner on the SEL trim. Similarly, the XRT gets a standard sunroof, while the Limited and Calligraphy boast a more premium dual-pane sunroof. On the base model, 18-inch wheels are equipped, but these grow to 20-inch wheels from the XRT upwards. Speaking of the new XRT trim, it also gets a more rugged appearance that includes dark-finish wheels and grille, black roof rails, and a more durable-looking front and rear fascia with skid plate design elements.
Even large cars struggle to comfortably fit three rows of seats, so the size of the Palisade should come as no surprise. It measures 196.1 inches in length with a 114.2-inch wheelbase. Though it only has a ground clearance of eight inches, it stands 68.9 inches tall. The width of 77.8 inches can make the SUV feel a little unwieldy at times, and it is extremely heavy. In its lightest guise, it weighs in at 4,171 pounds, while the upper-tier trims with AWD tip the scale at 4,506 lbs.

Despite its popularity, the Palisade has a rather limited exterior color palette. Luckily, you get access to most hues regardless of your trim choice. This starts with Abyss Black Pearl, Steel Graphite, Sierra Burgundy, Typhoon Silver, and Moonlight Cloud. The only paint that will you cost you extra is Hyper White, which adds $400. The top-tier Calligraphy adds Robust Emerald as an additional no-cost choice. The new XRT trim is slightly more monochromatic, with only Abyss Black, Hyper White, and Steel Graphite in the palette.
The Robust Emerald hue exclusively available to the Calligraphy just oozes class, but a more classic Moonlight Cloud or even Abyss Black are great choices, too.
Only Hyper White costs extra, and it adds $400 to the bill.
From the XRT trim upward, the Palisade is equipped with a sunroof as standard.
The lower trims ride on 18-inch wheels, but these grow to 20-inch alloys once you hit the XRT.
