The SEL model adds some nice-to-have features worth paying for if you can afford it but aren’t strictly necessary. This includes remote engine start, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and heated front seats. Convenience is greater though with push-button and remote start, and items like illuminated vanity mirrors and SiriusXM. It has the same driver-assistance features as the SE. You can also enhance the SEL via the Activity Package, which adds niceties and some functional equipment that make the Santa Cruz more suited to adventure, such as LED bed lights, roof rails, wireless phone charging, a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster, and power outlets.
