The regular Tucson is Hyundai's best-selling vehicle and the 2022 Hyundai Tucson PHEV and Hybrid are essentially just more eco-friendly versions that also offer better mpg figures. The new 226-hp 1.6L engine provides more than enough power for the compact SUV and is reasonably efficient, too. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission for smooth, quiet, and efficient performance, and transfers power through to a permanent AWD. Unfortunately, many competitors boast more impressive figures. The Hyundai Tucson PHEV's 33-mile electric range is also just middling for the classification. Nevertheless, the Tucson Hybrid SUV remains one of the most pleasant cars to drive, delivering a serene ride quality to boot.
The all-new Hyundai Tucson Hybrid and PHEV models share the look and feel of the regular Hyundai Tucson and are generously outfitted with creature comforts, conveniences, and technology even at the base level. They're exceptional family SUVs and decent eco-friendly alternatives.
