Wagons aren’t a common breed, and it’s even less common to see a Jaguar wagon. Adding a long roof and hatchback to the XF sedan, Jaguar created the XF Sportbrake. There’s a long list of updates for 2020, the most notable of which is the addition of standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Under the hood, the base engine is a 296-horsepower four-cylinder engine paired with an eight-speed transmission. The S trim gets a powerful 380-hp supercharged V8 engine.
Upscale features include a panoramic roof, motion-activated tailgate, and rear self-leveling suspension. Numerous packages are available, including a Comfort and Convenience Package that brings cooled front seats and heated rears and the Vision Assist package that adds auto high-beam headlights, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and lane keep assist.
There’s not much in the way of competition when it comes to high-end wagons, but there are a few standouts in the segment including the Volvo V90 and Mercedes-Benz E-Class Wagon. Pricing for the 2020 Jaguar Sportbrake will start at $66,145.
