Carbide trim is essentially a cosmetic package, and is now only available with the Series II as its starting point. It’s easy to spot a Carbide from the outside, because it has gloss-black exterior trim and 20-inch wheels (22s are optional), and you'll also notice the three-pane panoramic sunroof which comes as standard with this trim. More useful is the addition of a cargo cover and a reversible cargo mat in the trunk area, along with adjustable roof rail crossbars. The interior has black accents. Whether these additions are worth an extra $3k over a normal Series II is debatable, however.
