The 2021 Kia Niro EV is available in two trim levels, namely the EX and EX Premium. Both share the same electric motor producing 201 hp and 291 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a single-speed transmission.
The exterior of the Niro EV includes LED daytime running lights and 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside the car, both trim levels get power-adjustable front seats, climate control, and two front-mounted USB ports.
The EX offers a eight-inch infotainment screen, while the EX Premium comes standard with an 10.25-inch unit with voice control and navigation, as well as a Harman Kardon sound system with eight speakers and wireless phone charging. It does sacrifice the wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay found on the base model in the name of extra size, though. Active driver assistance features include blind-spot monitoring, lane change, and lane-keep assist, as well as forward collision warning and driver attention assistance.
