The LX is relatively bare bones when compared to the rest of the lineup, especially in terms of driver-assist features. Still, it has its merits and the interior of the Soul is still decent at a starting point. The LX is also the only trim that comes with a six-speed manual and is the least fuel-efficient of the lot. So while the very low MSRP may save money at the beginning, the CVT-equipped trims may save more in the long run. The standard tech is also pretty decent, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto allowing for full smartphone integration.
