The all-new V8 is a monster of a machine. It gets all of the luxuries included on the other lesser Defenders, plus a few additional things to keep that monstrous 518-hp and 461-lb-ft 5.0-liter supercharged V8 in check. Land Rover adds a Dynamic Mode to the standard Terrain Response 2 system. It makes a big difference to the driving experience. We wouldn’t call it sporty, but it does lean a lot less through the corners. The V8 comes standard with a menacing set of 22-inch alloys and quad exhaust pipes. On the inside, it has bright metal pedals, and illuminated tread plates that remind you that it’s a V8. As if the V8 racket wasn’t enough of a hint.
