Land Rover has done a fantastic job of decluttering the Discovery Sport's interior, and the dashboard has been on the receiving end of some useful upgrades for this model year. A larger touchscreen interface is equipped and the center console has been redesigned to accommodate a wireless charging pad and more storage space. The materials are generally excellent and space utilization is impressive in the first two rows. As standard, the Disco Sport comes with dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel.

Seating and Interior Space

Seating for five people is standard in the Land Rover Discovery Sport, and in this configuration, there are few complaints about interior space. In both the first two rows, even six-footers will find enough headroom and legroom, so longer jaunts are no trouble. The optional third row is quite a novelty in this class, but these seats should only be considered for small children as they're simply too restrictive for adults. The front seats in the Land Rover Discovery Sport come with heating and power adjustment as standard, and the second-row seats can be optionally heated as well.

Interior Colors and Materials

Built and finished to a high standard, the materials inside the Disco Sport are pleasing to the eye and touch. Ebony DuoLeather seats are standard and paired with Gloss Black trim. Customers wanting an airier ambiance can also go for Light Oyster/Ebony Luxtec and suedecloth seats with Light Oyster stitching. LightOyster DuoLeather and Acorn DuoLeather seats are also available, while the Gloss Black trim can be replaced by Natural Shadow Oak veneer.

The Dynamic trim differs slightly with a choice of Ebony DuoLeather with Grey stitching, Light Oyster/Ebony Luxtec and suedecloth, or Light Oyster/Ebony DuaLeather with Light Oyster stitching. Its trim options are Shadow Aluminum or Titanium Mesh. This sportier model also enjoys metal treadplates and bright metal pedals.

The interior colors of the Discovery Sport are all classy and sophisticated, without the sometimes garish options you can find in an equivalent German SUV.

2024 Discovery Sport Trunk and Cargo Space

With the third row in place, the cargo space in the Land Rover Discovery Sport measures only 6.86 cubic feet. That increases to a much more useful 32.2 cubes behind the second row, which can be folded in a 40:20:40 split. Doing so will free up 59.98 cubes behind the first row. Land Rover quotes a separate figure of 63.35 cubes behind the rear seats too; presumably, this applies to the five-seater model with its second row folded.

Thanks to a redesigned center console, the Discovery Sport now has space for a wireless phone charger and a spacious open front compartment. Cupholders front and rear add to the vehicle's practicality, and there is also a well-sized glovebox and useful pockets in each door.

Features

To justify its rather high starting price, the base Discovery Sport S is equipped with many standard features. The front seats are heated and also power-adjustable, with 12-way adjustability for the driver and 10-way adjustment for the passenger. These seats also have a memory function. Other standard amenities include dual-zone climate control, a fixed panoramic roof, keyless entry, a heated steering wheel, an auto-dimming interior rearview mirror, and a powered tailgate.

Driver-assistance equipment has also been carefully chosen, with standard items like a 3D surround camera system, lane-keep assist, front/rear parking sensors, traffic sign recognition, and blind-spot assist. Since the Dynamic SE is primarily a sportier-looking alternative with some nicer wheels and trim, it doesn't have any notable standard features over the base version. A head-up display and heated rear seats are among the optional extras.

Infotainment

The Pivi Pro infotainment interface has been updated for the 2024 model year, with the Discovery Sport now enjoying a larger 11.4-inch touchscreen interface as standard. This curved glass display appears to float on the redesigned center console, and features sidebars that are permanently accessible for often-used functions such as climate control settings. As standard, the system incorporates SiriusXM satellite radio, HD Radio, Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, dual front USB ports, and more USB ports in the second row (and in the third row, if equipped). A wireless mobile phone charger is now conveniently situated in the center console, and the driver has access to a digital gauge cluster. A Meridian sound system is standard.
