The Lexus ES has not been recalled since 2020, when a fuel pump issue resulted in a single recall. This is echoed in results from JD Power, which issued a high 87 out of 100 score for Quality & Reliability.
Lexus will back the 2023 ES with a four-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, a six-year/70,000-mile drivetrain warranty, and a one-year/10,000-mile maintenance plan. Hybrid components are covered for eight years or 100,000 miles.
With excellent ratings from both the NHTSA and IIHS and a host of standard safety features, the ES should prove itself to be a safe sedan.
A grand total of ten airbags are included on all models in the range.
