The 2019 Lexus LC 500h is presented as a standalone luxury performance hybrid variant of the gas-fueled LC 500. This version is equipped with a gas/electric 3.5-liter 24-valve Atkinson-cycle V6 engine with dual electric motor generators that produce 354 horsepower and 257 lb-ft of torque. Power is routed to the rear-wheel-drivetrain via a multistage electronically controlled CVT, which is coupled to an automatic transmission to simulate ten gears. This contemporary grand touring coupe is a two-door, four-seater and is characterized by its aerodynamic low-slung body and aggressive posture. The exterior features four air intakes and rear aero ducts to assist in lift and drag reduction (and add to the racy look of the vehicle). It is mounted on 20-inch staggered-width ten-spoke alloy wheels and has striking, arrowhead LED daytime running lights with ultra-compact triple projector LED headlamps. Puddle lamps, heated electrochromic auto-dimming outside rearview mirrors with memory, flush-type door handles with illumination when opened, and hybrid blue “L” and “500h” badging are all standard features on this model.
