An old-school SUV with rugged underpinnings and a big V8 under the hood, the aging Lexus LX trucks on for another year. Available as either a five-seater or an eight-seater, the LX uses a 5.7-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine with 383 hp and 403 lb-ft of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission and permanent four-wheel-drive are also part of the package.
The brutish exterior of the LX is adorned with a giant chromed grille, 20-inch alloy wheels, a power moonroof, and triple-beam LED headlamps. The spacious cabin is trimmed in high-quality perforated leather and semi-aniline leather if you opt for the Luxury Package. Some of the tech highlights include a 12.3-inch high-resolution display, a panoramic-view monitor, intuitive parking assist, and an available head-up display. Both front seats feature power adjustment and heating, with the driver getting a 14-way adjustable seat with memory settings. Other standard features include four-zone automatic climate control, a nine-speaker Lexus premium sound system and a power-sliding second row of seats. The three-row model additionally gets a power-folding third row.
