There are three trim levels and the mechanical specs of the various Lexus RC trims are quite convoluted. It is offered with three engine options, RWD or AWD drivetrain configurations, and F Sport derivatives that turn up the style. All RWD RC 300 models are powered by a 241-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, while the RC 300 AWD comes with a 3.5 V6 with different specifications than the one in the RC 350s - it's been detuned to 260 hp. RC 350s get a 311-hp version of the motor. Power is sent to the rear via an eight-speed auto transmission or all four wheels via a six-speed auto.
Standard features across the board include dual-zone climate control, perforated NuLuxe leatherette upholstery, an illuminated entry system, a ten-way power-adjustable driver's seat, and an eight-way powered front passenger's seat. The new eight-inch infotainment display includes Bluetooth streaming, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM, and a ten-speaker audio system. The standard Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 includes adaptive cruise control, pedestrian detection, lane tracing, and road-sign recognition. Higher up the lineup, heated front seats, a power-adjustable steering column, F Sport exterior treatment, and other features are added. Various packages are offered, and some of the options available include a larger 10.3-inch infotainment screen, climate-controlled front seats, navigation, and a premium audio system.
Although each RC trim comes packed with premium options, Lexus offers even more in the form of optional packages. The Navigation package adds a larger 10.3-inch display with dynamic voice commands and three-year subscriptions to navigation and Lexus Enform Destination Assist for $1,645. The $2,725 Navigation/Mark Levinson Premium Audio package includes a 17-speaker high-end Mark Levinson sound system and machined aluminum control knobs, along with the contents of the Navigation package. However, this upgrade compels you to select the $1,790 Premium Package too with its heated and ventilated front seats, a seat memory system, heated and auto-dimming exterior rearview mirrors, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and a power-adjustable steering wheel. On its own, the power moonroof will add $1,100 to the bill.
Limited to the RC 350 F Sport variants is the Torsen limited-slip rear differential at $390 and orange brake calipers at $300. All F Sport trims are eligible. An F Sport Special Appearance package with dark-gray 19-inch ten-spoke Enkei alloy wheels and a bi-tone paint job - with the body in Incognito and the roof and hood in Obsidian - will soon be available as well.
