2023 RZ Exterior
Whereas the Tesla Model Y is all about curves, the exterior design of the Lexus RZ is far edgier. This is clearly a Lexus at first glance, and it could simply be an RX to the average observer. Keener-eyed individuals will notice the charging port on the left side of the body and the latest iteration of the spindle body in front, which sees the smoothed-over section where a traditional grille would be, flow gently into the hood. Stylish bi-LED headlights with daytime running lights are standard, and headlamp washers are available for both trims. An illuminated front 'L' for the Lexus badge is optional.
For the Premium, there are 18-inch alloy wheels, but the Luxury comes with snazzier 20-inch alloys. The latter wheels and tires do, however, have a negative impact on the vehicle's range. At the rear, there is a sporty coupe-like roofline with a blade taillamp design that stretches across the width of the body. A panorama glass roof is standard on both trims, but only the Luxury model can be specified with a Dynamic Sky panorama glass roof that can quickly switch between transparent and opaque.

Dimensions
Although smaller than the RX in size in certain respects, the dimensions of the Lexus RZ have not compromised its packaging as the two vehicles have a similar amount of interior space. The RZ has a length of 189.2 inches, 3.3 inches less than the RX, although both crossovers have the same 112.2-inch wheelbase. Width measures 74.2 inches and the height of the RZ is 64.4 inches.
The dual motors and battery have added some weight to the EV, though. The RZ starts at 4,564 pounds, increasing to 4,619 lbs for the Luxury model. By comparison, the base RX AWD weighs 4,310 lbs.

Exterior Colors
Of the seven exterior colors for the 2023 Lexus RZ, the only no-cost one is the dark Caviar. For $500, customers can select Eminent White Pearl, Iridium, Ether, or Cloudburst Gray. The two most distinctive colors are the dual-tone options. For $1,200, that blends a Black Onyx spindle body, hood, and roof with either Ether or Cloudburst Gray along the sides. In Europe, the RZ is offered with a few warmer shades as well, but these are curiously absent from the moodier palette of US-spec models.
