The exterior of the Lincoln Navigator was mildly refreshed last year, with a larger front grille overlapping into the lower bumper for a far more aggressive approach. The headlights were made marginally smaller and more sophisticated. Lincoln uses pixel LED-projector headlamps and sports 20-inch machined alloy wheels on the Standard. These are upgraded to 22-inch wheels on the Reserve and Black Label, the latter being ultra-bright alloys with Ebony-finished pockets.
The rear fascia features a solid brake-light bar that lights up upon welcome and departure, while dual exhaust outlets peek out from below the bumper. The Standard has power running boards and, from the Reserve upwards, a panoramic vista roof is installed, along with illuminated power running boards. Apart from the blacked-out exterior elements, the Black Label gets its own grille.
There is no such thing as a dainty full-size SUV, and the Lincoln Navigator's dimensions are proof of this. It has a length of 210 inches and a width of 83.6 inches. The wheelbase is 122.5 inches long and the overall height is 76.4 inches for the 4x2 and 76.3 inches for the 4x4. Opt for the L and the wheelbase grows to 131.6 inches and overall length to 221.9.
Ground clearance is rather impressive at 9.6 inches when you opt for a more confident four-wheel drivetrain, though RWD models get an extra 0.1 inches. However, the lackluster 22.2/21.1/21.9-degree approach/breakover/departure angles throw a wrench in any off-roading aspirations. Curb weight varies from 5,685 pounds on the RWD models to 5,855 lbs on the 4WD. The extended L variant weighs as much as 6,056 lbs.
