With a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 under the hood, the Trofeo finally offers the kind of power you’d expect from an Italian performance car manufacturer like Maserati. It has launch control to help its owner rocket from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds. The adaptive suspension makes it extremely stiff for canyon carving but reasonably comfortable in town. In theory, at least. With 17 speakers, the Trofeo has a decent sound system, but, unfortunately, Maserati used an infotainment system widely used in Chrysler and Jeep products.
